RED SNEAKERS
Writer, Director, Editor
RED SNEAKERS was created for a collaborative class assignment. A small team of us created 5 of these short-short films in one long weekend. I had to hack out 90% of my script and I think the film was better for it. This was the film that got me hooked on color grading. I had a huge crush on the girl playing the lead's roommate.
CUT SHORT - ZAPMAN
Editor
This was one among many promo videos I made during my time at HiRez Studios, working in the eSports Production department. I've only included this one here because I made like a million of these things and there are so many I can't even remember which of us editors made which ones, so I picked my favorite one that I know I did. Suffice to say I did this for broadcast content, so we usually did about 5 of these types of videos on Thursday every week for Friday broadcast.
ETV'S OPEN PITCH WEEKEND INFOMERCIAL
Writer, Actor, Editor
The university film production club was swimming in debt due to clerical errors left to us, the club leadership, the year this was made. We spent an hour throwing this together over pizza and I went home and added whatever my sleep deprived brain could think of in the process. We got quite a few pitches that weekend.
BASED ON A TRUE STORY
Literally everything (as you will see)
A kind of resentful anger drove the writing of this script, but by the time I sat down to film it the anger had been replaced by a mellow disgruntledness that allowed me to reimagine the scene as comedy. I think the other guys in the dorm thought I was going crazy though.
BASED ON A TRUE STORY 2
Literally everything again (but this time on purpose)
BASED ON A TRUE STORY 2 was conceived as a sort of twisted sequel to its predecessor, this time themed around my depression, which I had been dealing with for about a year and a half as of production. The animation took nearly 36 hours of no sleep.
